Matthew Galvin, vice principal at Winsford Academy in Cheshire, talks about the development of the school’s use of assessment for learning. Early in the first lockdown, Mathew says that the school was offering useful lessons and resources, but had no way to answer whether ‘the lesson taught was the lesson learned’.
