Judith Jones, executive head at Forncett and Carlton Rode Primary Schools, explains how her school is ensuring that every child has access to a device for their learning – by sending out iPads and laptops from school – and the challenges she has faced. One is that families sometimes prioritise older children learning online over younger ones when it comes to time with devices. She talks about the importance to the children of Teams assemblies and the value to their mental health and wellbeing of seeing their teacher and other classmates and wants to make sure that all children are able to participate and nobody misses out because an older sibling has the iPad.
