Fostering a sense of belonging – Elodie Nelson, year 5 teacher

Elodie Nelson, a year 5 teacher and computing subject leaders from Julians Primary School, explains how she has been using whole class Zoom sessions to maintain a sense of belonging for children during periods of home learning. However, key worker children who are in school struggle to access these sessions, so Elodie also encourages pupils to use the chat function in J2E to keep in contact with the whole group, creating an opportunity to have important conversations with the children about online safety and conduct.
