Drew Thomson, deputy head (academic) at St Albans High School for Girls, highlights the importance of schools being flexible, adaptable and kind in the way that they operate as institutions and how important it is that school staff have conversations with their line managers and SLTs about any challenges they may be facing with remote learning. Everyone needs to be aware that colleagues are facing very different situations at home and may be trying to teach with children around them and a partner also working from home.
