For Colleen Maasdorp, Year 5 teacher and science lead at Rotherhithe Primary School, pre-planning has been the key to success on her remote and blended learning journey. She talks about how each half-term she and her year group partner planned ahead, looked at Oak Academy, used its resources where available and if it did not have them for a topic they would record themselves teaching the lessons. They sent learning packs home and all lessons were put on a private section of the school website that parents accessed with a password. It was daunting at the start but not so difficult now everyone is used to it.
