  • In this January 2021 blog article from Edutopia the author considers how to make use of the short time available with students in a remote or blended (hybrid) context where a subject normally has a significant practical element (in this instance science). This may be of interest to anyone considering how best to make use of synchronous and asynchronous time and other details of learning design in a similar context. The article explores four key questions: What is the goal of the task…? What are the skills the students will need to master…? How will students accomplish the task? How can the task be assessed to measure learning? In this case the practical element was achieved by using online simulation and student lab kits available for home use: 4 Questions designed to make hybrid learning more equitable.
