This one hour webinar, led by the Connected Learning Centre’s Sarah Horrocks, Caitlin McMillan and Rowan Roberts, explores what is meant by the term ‘Digital Divide’, and how it impacts children’s ability to access blended learning, particularly from home. It describes some of the solutions that have been used in different parts of the world; from low bandwidth virtual lessons in Jordan to community sourced free wifi in New York. The initial talk is followed by a question and answer session during which a live audience asked the speakers to elaborate on some of the topics touched upon during the session.
